This higher education institution was the first college to be established in Upper Canada under royal charter in 1827 under the name King's College while the region was still under British rule. The University of Toronto's 180-acre campus is located in Downtown Toronto near Queen's Park and it also has two other sites in Mississsauga and Scarborough. It ranks the best university in Canada in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Academic Ranking of World Universities and QS World University Rankings. University of Toronto has educated four Canadian prime ministers, 14 Supreme Court justices and has had ties with 10 Nobel laureates.
