This volcano museum located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on The Big Island has exhibits on lava types, eruptions, volcanic monitoring equipment and Hawaiian volcano goddess Pele. The Thomas A. Jaggar Museum that was constructed in 1985 was named after the geologist who was director of the former Hawaii Volcano Observatory. The museum has a gift shop and its grounds provide a magnificent panorama of Kilauea Caldera, Mauna Loa and Kau Desert.
