St. Nicholas Church was completed in 1735 near Prague’s Old Town Square. Inspired by Paris’s chapel of St. Louis-des-invalides, the white church is built in the Baroque style with frescoes by Peter Adam the Elder and sculptures by Antonin Braun. During WWII, Czech Army troops were stationed here and worked alongside artists to restore the church. Today the church belongs to the Czech Hussite movement, and also hosts classical music concerts. It is visible from Old Town Square.
