This charming historic section of Warsaw is one of the city's main tourist attractions and dates back to the 13th century. Old Town Warsaw is the site of many landmarks including the Royal Castle, Barbican, city walls, St. John's Cathedral and Old Town Market Place. Much of the city's Old Town had to be rebuilt after World War II and Warsaw was praised for the historical accuracy of its reconstruction efforts. It also is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
