Part of the traditional territory of the indigenous Eastern Kuku Yalanji people, Mossman Gorge features a suspension bridge that crosses a creek and then leads to two short trails. One of them, the River Circuit, is just under a mile (1 km) in length. These lead though the spectacular tropical rainforest and its exotic flora and fauna, including platypus, huge ferns, strangler figs, butterflies and Boyd’s forest dragons. Visit the Mossman Gorge Centre, an Indigenous ecotourism facility that offers authentic Aboriginal experiences.
