Located in the Austrian town of Mondsee, this former Benedictine abbey was where the von Trapps were married in the popular film "The Sound of Music." Mondsee Abbey was founded in 748 by Bavarian Duke Odilo and eventually dissolved in 1791 by Emperor Leopold II. It contains the Collegiate Church of St. Michael as well as Mondsee Museum and a hotel.
