The town of Lugo is located on a hill by the rivers Manho, Rato and Chanca. Lugo is one of 54 villages making up the autonomous community of Galicia. The city is the only one in the world to be surrounded by Roman walls which were declared a World Heritage Site in 2000 and are protected by UNESCO.
