Open seven days a week, this famous historic farmers market offers a variety of food vendors and eateries featuring American fare as well as ethnic cuisine. Los Angeles' Farmers Market located in the city's Fairfax District began in 1934 on land owned by Arthur Fremont Gilmore and was the idea of Roger Dahlhjelm and Fred Beck. It now contains more than 100 merchants making it a favorite destination for tourists and locals alike. It is located near The Grove and CBS Television City. "The Original Farmers Market" is visited by more than three million people per year.
