The 387,000 square-foot Los Angeles shopping and entertainment mecca opened in 2001 along the Hollywood Walk of Fame includes the famed TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly titled Mann's and Grauman's) and the Dolby Theater. Hollywood and Highland Center's three-story courtyard was partially based on the Babylon scene in the movie "Intolerance." The complex has 75 stores, two restaurants, two nightclubs, a bowling alley and a hotel. It is on the site of the old Hollywood Hotel.
