Gullfoss, aka "The Golden Falls," is fed by a glacial river that cascades 105 feet over two tiers to a gorge below where it sends up clouds of magical mist and shimmering rainbows. One of the most popular attractions in Iceland, Gullfoss is on the famous Golden Circle route. The unique shape of the fall's drop makes it appear that the river simply disappears from a distance.
