Grossmunster Church dominates Zurich’s skyline. It was built as a Romanesque cathedral in the 12th century and dedicated to the patron saints of Zurich. Later it became a protestant church during the reformation. A fire destroyed part of the towers in 1763 and they had to be rebuilt, which is why they are now Gothic towers. Inside, the decoration is simple with modern furnishings and elegant stained glass windows.
