The 278-foot tall Gothic style bell tower that is located in Florence's Cathedral Square contains seven different bells and was completed in 1359 using Giotto's designs. Giotto's Campanile is full of ornate panels depicting Genesis, Gothic statues and other magnificent details. Many of the building's original artworks are now on display at Museum of the Works of the Cathedral. The five-level tower's top provides an excellent 360-degree view of Florence and can be reached by walking up 414 steps.
